Honoring Dolly's Legacy!
In memory of Dolly Parton, we are urging a call to action to support Dolly Parton's Imagination Library!
South Carolina First Steps believes every child deserves to start school ready to reach their highest potential. Early literacy is the single most effective way to help children build a strong foundation.
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is a cost-effective way to put high quality books into the hands of young children and their families. By mailing one age-appropriate book every month to a child from birth to age 5, we are building the foundation for language and vocabulary development, strong parent-child relationships, while nurturing imagination, curiosity, and a love of learning.
We need your help to continue Dolly's dream! South Carolina First Steps sponsors Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in 18 counties. Help us increase access to children across the state.
The Imagination Library is made possible by the generous support of the General Assembly, local program sponsors, corporations, foundations, and donors like You! It costs just $31 to give the gift of imagination to a child for an entire year!
